Many different therapies are being offered to give relaxation and soothing feelings in order for a person to revitalize and rejuvenate him/herself. Not only that, these therapies are also a good way in reducing or relieving everyday stress.

Equipment is wisely chosen to give not only to assist the therapists but to add the overall beauty of the room that offers a place for escape from the demanding life outside and give the patient opportunity to unwind from the stressful work and activities.

Spas are using soft light in the treatment room that gives a relaxing feelings for a patient. In the centerpiece of the room is the treatment table covered with plain linen sheets that gives an elegant impression.  Large towels are also available for the patient to use.

Warm towels, packs or sheets are required in every spa treatments. There are several pieces of equipment used in spas in order to maintain the hotness and make them ready to use anytime they are needed.  Hydrocollators are commonly used to heat packs but it is also use to heat towels and sheets for body wraps. Hot towel cabinets, known as cabbi, are usually use in heating towels. It has the capacity to heat 6 to 72 towels.

Most of the time, spa therapists apply warm products to patients, though there are times cold products are required. Some equipment such as lotion warmer are convenient to use. It can heat spa products up to 50 º C and it has thermostat to control the temperature. Heater pans are also use to heat stones for hot stone massage and some soapy water for hand washing.

Body wraps is one of the therapy used in spas to help the patients perspire and eliminate body toxins. Wraps are also use if messy products are being applied in the body such as mud or honey. Heavy wool blankets are commonly use to wrap the body for patients who are suffering from digestive problems and skin allergies and needs to detoxify. It can trap the body heat to make the patient perspires. For hot or cold wet wraps,  a 100% cotton or a combination of cotton and fleece is being used. Body wrap plastic and mylar are use to cover mud or seaweed packs.

Table warmers are also used in spa to heat up the sheets on the table before the client gets onto it. Warming the body can avoid chilling and it can be ready to any kind of therapy. Though table warmers are not enough to warm the body, it is a preliminary procedure to make the client relax.

Spas have also wet room in use for therapy and to wash spa products in the clients body. Each uses different kind of showers depends on the services offered. There is handheld shower with a combination of wet table. It is use to remove spa products on the body at the same time to give the patient body scrub for exfoliation. There is also a standard shower, Swiss shower and Vichy shower. They are use in the same purpose as handheld shower.

Paraffin Dip is also use to treat chronic arthritis, tight joint and painful joint. Paraffin, a waxy substance is usually present in spas. Further, essential oils are available in most spas for aromatherapy.
Spa services also uses different equipments such as spa manicure tables, spa pedicure chairs, pedicure spa, shampoo bowls and many more. Some big spas have sauna baths, spa and jacuzzi pools and whirlpool for relaxation and therapy.
